Patrick started his career in 1992 as a loan officer, and later a branch manager, with Transamerica Financial Services, where he learned how to run an office and help clients with their financial needs. In November 1995 he opened his own Allstate agency in Palatine as a scratch agent, building it from zero clients. Over the next 27 years he and his staff helped thousands of families across the northwest suburbs, earned numerous company awards, and kept more than 91 percent of their customers year after year. Some of his clients have been with him for over 30 years.

In 2023 Patrick sold the agency and stayed on for three more years to help the new owner succeed and to keep taking care of clients he had known for decades. Then he decided it was time for a change, and he chose an independent agency.
