Rage room insurance

Rage room insurance covers a smash room the way underwriters actually see it: flying debris, protective gear that guests sometimes skip, and a lot of first-time participants. The core policy is general liability with participant injury included, plus property coverage for the rooms, tools, and the inventory you bring in to break. Our published ranges run $1,200 to $2,500 a year for a one or two room startup and $8,000 to $18,000 for an established venue that adds axe throwing, laser tag, or alcohol. Full breakdown on our rage room insurance page.

Axe throwing insurance

Axe throwing insurance is priced on lane count, coach certification, and whether you serve alcohol. Walk-in venues need general liability with participant liability confirmed in writing (most standard forms exclude the thrower and the next lane over), property for lanes, targets, and cages, and liquor liability the day a bar opens. Mobile operators add coverage for the trailer and the venues they visit. Our published ranges are $2,000 to $5,000 for a mobile or event operator, $8,000 to $15,000 for a standalone venue, and $12,000 to $18,000 or more once alcohol is on the menu. Details on our axe throwing insurance page.

Go kart insurance

Go kart insurance is one of the heavier FEC risk classes because a kart is a vehicle. Carriers rate on kart count, gas versus electric, track length, restraint and helmet protocols, and the building value for indoor tracks. The program pairs general liability with participant injury, property, equipment breakdown, and an umbrella most landlords now require. Our published ranges are $4,500 to $15,000 for a small single-track operator, $8,500 to $22,000 for a full outdoor program, and $15,000 to $35,000 for an indoor track. Karts inside a multi-attraction venue are blended into the FEC program. See our go kart insurance page for the cost drivers.

Frequently asked questions

What does family entertainment center insurance cover?

It bundles general liability (participant injury), commercial property and equipment breakdown, business income, workers compensation, commercial and hired/non-owned auto, liquor liability, abuse and molestation, and commercial umbrella into one program built around your attraction mix.

How much does FEC insurance cost in 2026?

Most operators pay $3,500 to $120,000+ per year. A single small attraction or rental operator starts around $3,000, a single-attraction indoor FEC runs $6,500 to $18,000, and large multi-attraction venues with food and alcohol reach $45,000 to $120,000 or more.

Do I need liquor liability for my FEC?

Yes, the moment you serve or sell alcohol at a party, event, or on-site bar. It is separate from general liability and is one of the most common coverage gaps we find on FEC policies.

Can one policy cover multiple attractions?

Yes. We build a single blended program that prices each attraction by its risk class, so a venue with go-karts, an arcade, and a trampoline court carries one coordinated policy instead of several.

Can you insure a brand-new or startup FEC?

Yes. We place coverage for new ventures and operations under construction. Startups should expect underwriters to focus on safety protocols, waivers, staff training, and projected revenue.
